Asinine: My programs are all updated to the latest to the best of my knowledge. I can open files from HD, so long as I have already downloaded them before.

MizuhofanFFX2se: It has always been the case for me as well. I remember deleting the contents of my temporary internet folder (under "My Computer"), to rid the system of virus, could this be another possibility?

f

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear before-- ^^; Basically online clips (e.g Youtube) usually remain as stationary black boxes or don't appear at all. An error message occurs when I try to download files as well. ( Also includes opening PDF files)

I was however, able to log in to websites after a while, which I previously wasn't able to do after the deletion. Would this be too vague? The problem might indeed not be the cookies, but my suspicions lie there- also the problem exists for all websites and not a single one. Thanks though ^^v

f

Recently, I have had problems viewing videos online/ listening to music online and in downloading files.

I had previously deleted some cookies to clear HD space and I think together with that, some of the cookies involved with playing clips online. I wonder if any computer gurus here know of a way to restore them? ^^;

Thank you very much in advance. >_<

Edit: Issue has been resolved. Thanks guys! XD

Its not odd for me to be up at midnight, so definitely. I especially watch certain series at night, such as horror/gore to have the experience amplified. Cuddled with a cushion in the deep of the night.

f

The Hitachin twins are very interesting. I liked their character history and development, their wonderful character designs and their mutual support for each other; especially on Kaoru's part for the stubborn and oblivious Hikaru.

Their devilish image and true characters are very contradicting once they realize it themselves, which makes them interesting to watch. Although they are strongly independent and deem everyone else inferior, they can't help but grow fond and attracted to the people who get close to them, clashing with their ideals. They don't forget people once they leave a mark.

The twins are the most conflicted characters in the series and the only ones who don't get a proper resolution.

f

I liked the season 2 cast, just the right balance of personalities and no one in the group is too annoying. There was also some good character development and the digidestined from previous seasons had cameo apperances and combat as well.

f

I have.. ^^; many times. And I have to constantly remind myself they are 2D characters. Though weirdly my obsession stops when I've seen every possible artwork produced of that character/ my opinion of the character is tarnished.

f

I usually start off by choosing popular series or those that received good reviews. Sometimes I download to have a "trial" at what the manga is like. Though I also have the tendency to buy on impulse whenever I see beautiful cover art.

Story is more important to me personally since its what keeps my attention, good art is never a cover for a bad story.

f

Haruhi-ism has shown through ~ xD;

I wonder what material they will use though.. since the novels have already been animated. But seeing as their original material in the first instalment was great.. I suppose we will see more eye-candy come 2007.

f

Like any other shows, anime can be useful if you moderate the time you spend on it and choose the right series to watch.

Anime has a clear advantage to subjects like Japanese (taking that the anime you watch is not dubbed). Exposure to anime helps you gain an upper hand since you are exposed to Japanese conversations prior to the lesson. Not only vocabulary and grammer wise but also pronounciation wise.

Anime also increases your general knowlege. Most series have basis in History or Religion, gaining plot bunnies also improves your composition skills.^^ So other than pure relaxation, anime to me is reading a variety of good books with eye-candy.

f

I actually name my stuff animals after anime characters/ animals.^^ I have real pet fishes, but I don't bother naming them since they're so identical and can't be distinguished afterward. A name would have no meaning.

I have a stuffed dog named "Tsubaki" after the Kare Kano character and another named "Pero" XD.

f

Homework.. _-_.. I have a loads of mid-year exams left to finish and a bunch of studying to do. I had to return to school and was engaged in some activities the past week so my real holiday starts today.

I can't help but feel so hopeless at my attitude.. I've got to raise my grades for the major exam end of this year and next year! For that, I have to isolate myself from my PC and MT.. >< *needs to stop browsing*

f

Really appreciate you efforts in organising this contest.. ^^ I guess we can look forward to lots of eye candy. Though I'll only have seven days to work with right now.. I probably won't be participating this time round (due to time constraints) but give it your best shot guys! ~ Ganbatte~

This was brought up as a topic of debate recently at my school, what are some of your takes on this? Would an academically bright student limit his/her potential by not aiming for an elite school?

While prestigious schools may look better on your resume, there are many valuable life experiences you can gain outside of it, valuable lessons such as empathy for the less academically inclined, that there were other aspects of the human mind such as integrity, honesty, courage, generosity and compassion that are just as if not more important than academic ability.

The meritocracy in society and the fact that academic intelligence (some would call it IQ) is to a large extent genetically determined, has already allowed the cream to float to the top.Students in elite schools may experience low self-esteem and thinking themselves stupid when they are of average intelligence.

I myself feel that an academically bright student will do well whatever school he/she chooses. Yet the vast majority of society look mainly towards "Elite" schools as a gauge of potential.

Anime of Spring 2006~ ^o^ and Winter 2005/2006

I'm personally anticipating the second season of Ah! My Goddess. ^^~ and I'm also curious about what the animated version of XXXholic and NANA will turn out like. For winter, it's Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl. XD

What are some titles that seem appealing to you.. ?

f

Not on a daily basis really but certainly for relaxation and inspiration. ^^ It would work better for me if I saw the anime the OST originated entirely if not partially.

f

If this series was a hit or a miss, I would say HIT.. !

There was a slight portion at the end of the DVD that had Yumi saying "See you next season"! So I was really hoping for a third season. I'm glad my hopes were not diminished. Thanks for this little report to Marimite fans~ <3

f

Nakashima Mika looks suprisingly good as Nana. O_O I never thought anyone could illustrate her character that well.. from the previews thus far, I have a feeling this will be one of the most anticipated for me.

Thanks for all the links.

f

Definitely Arcueid's Shinso Hime attire.. and also the school uniform that Misuzu wears in AIR. I love their elaborate design, very eye-catching and hard to make.

Other classical clothes are Belldandy's megami costume and Lacus's casual attire in SEED.

f

My life for the past 6 years has been deeply rooted in anime. Therefore it has become my hobby and also a good passtime. I guess my answer to your question would be "forever". We'll see if I can stick to my conviction once I enter adulthood and working life.^^

f

Haha.. I don't think anybody can really "give" you a new year's resolution, you have to find one that suits you for yourself.^^;

For me, it will be to make an A grade for every subject~

f

D-Technolife by UVERworld had classic animation.. maybe that's why it ran for such a long time when the ending themes were replaced constantly. ^^

I have to agree that was a rare OP which I could watch constantly and never get tired.. perhaps because the words contained action in itself. I'm pretty sure Ichirin no Hana OP single is out there somewhere..

f

Seebu - ending theme to UFO Princess Warukyure S1 ^_^ yay.. such a lovely song..^-^

Let's try.. Taiyo no Rakuen

f

Quote by ShinoMatrixThat is a pity... it sure would have been better to hear her song than "Wings of Words" by Chemistry :P

Haha..I know what you mean. Everyone was really exited to listen to Maaya sing for Gundam since she voiced Lunamaria. ^^

I don't mind Chemistry, but I just wanted to get let another great tune by Maaya get into the Gundam OST. I guess she just wasn't the right voice for Gundam's image.. though a song like "Yakusoku wa Iranai" would be nice.
